Coverage Standard of Chinese Government Scholarship:
Chinese Government scholarships provide students with full scholarships while some offer partial Scholarships. The full scholarship will contain free tuition, free accommodation, a monthly stipend, comprehensive medical insurance, etc. However, the partial Scholarship contains one or some package that the full scholarship offers.
How to Apply for a Chinese scholarship and more
Method: To apply for the Chinese University Program you can apply to University directly. For other programs, Also, you will need to first find related organizations such as the Chinese embassy or any other organization in your country to use as backing for your scholarship application.
Categories: when you fill online application, you will need to choose from any of the following categories, either type A, B, or C. Below is how to understand what each category stands for, here you can learn the meaning of them:
Type A: Scholarship programs you need to apply through agencies other than Chinese universities directly. For instance, the Bilateral Program, which you need to apply to the Chinese embassy in your country.
Also, Type B: Is for the Chinese scholarship University Program. You need to choose the university you wish to study before applying to them by filling out your application through a different agency number.
Then Type C: Scholarship for Students based on their performance.
Fees: For some scholarship programs, you will need to pay fees such as the application fee of the university.
Required Documents for Chinese Scholarship
- Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship: ( written in Chinese or English).
- Notarized Highest Diploma: Documents in a language other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
- A Study Plan or Research Proposal: ( Written in Chinese or English). However, this should be a minimum of 200 words for undergraduate program applicants and 800 words at minimum for postgraduate program applicants.
- Two Recommendation Letters: These letters should be written and signed by a professor or associate professors either in Chinese or English language on behalf of the applicants who are applying for undergraduate or postgraduate programs in any Chinese Institution for recommendations.
- A CD of Your Works: (only required for arts students): Applicants for music studies are requested to submit a CD of their musical works, That is to say, anyone applying for art studies needs to submit their previous act work like a CD of their works which includes two sketches, two color painting work, and two other artworks.
- Applicants Under the Age of 18 must submit Relevant Document About Their Statutory Guardians in China.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy)
- The Copy of the Valid HSK Certificate (if available).
Chinese scholarship is only available to you if you are studying at the institution. Hubei Provincial scholarship scheme will bear the responsibility for covering the expenses of the tuition fees. They will be providing you with textbooks, accommodation, and other material requirements as a participating student in the Hubei University scholarship.
